The Clash | OOTD

He don't need
a good girl ...

He want a
BAD WOMAN

-- Chris Brown "Drop It"

Faux Leather Jacket- NY&Co. | Versace Inspired Shirt- Thrift'd
Camo Pants - Rue | Black Boots - Shoe Carnival
Comme Des Fuckdown Beanie- Ebay

I woke up this morning with no earthly idea what to put on, the weather today was blah so I was sure that my outfit was gonna be blah too. I stumbled across this shirt in my closet and decided to take a chance and clash some prints today. I am absolutely in love with how this outfit turned out. I am all for mix and matching prints especially loud ones. I love how the camo pants take a backseat in this look and become almost a neutral. This shirt is just so amazing. I love the mixture of the gold, black and turquoise together with the spashes of this cranberry color. I feel so 90's Vogue in this shirt, it screams Versace with its baroque print, gold details throughout and the pop of color. This outfit is definitely a head-turner, although I'm sure most people are wondering if I got dressed in the dark. These boots were only $8, what a steal! The contrasting blue laces just make the simple boot look a tad bit more interesting. I swear I won't know what to do when it's too warm to wear beanies, I seriously wear this beanie like its going out of style. Also I'm extremely pleased with my eye make-up today especially since I rarely do it.

I don't know what it is with me & club songs nowadays but I can't stop listening. I just found this new song by Chris Brown and no lie, it's hypnotizes me. I seriously get in the zone when I listen to it and all i wanna do is drop it for Breezy but seriously it has that slowed down yet still hype vibe that I love. Take a listen for yourself and tell me you don't wanna drop it ...

Breaking the Bank | Lust List

With Spring around the corner, its only natural that I've started shopping around for some key pieces to add to my wardrobe this season. Once again, I find myself drooling over items that I could never afford. Although there are a few items that I could bear to splurge on, I keep optimistic that I'll either hit the lotto or find myself a really great deal. Neither is likely. I've been trolling on all my favorite sites to draw some inspiration for my springtime style attitude and I've fallen in love way too many times to count. Thought I'd share with you some of the items that have been breaking my heart lately. Enjoy...

If only I could afford to buy all the things I wanted to buy at Nasty Gal! I swear I'm always lusting over everything they sell!  Here are a few of my faves for spring...

1. Secret Garden Top -- $33
2. T.U.K Mondo Creeper in Mint -- $75
5. Fresh Cut Dress -- $58
6. Motel Jordan Skinny Jeans in Stripes -- $80

Next up is just a huge mixture of other things I've been lusting over lately... I am sure most, if not all, of these items will make their way into my beloved closet soon. I am clearly a sucker for graphic t-shirts, comfortable statement shoes and show stopping accessories.

6. Zip Shirt Skirt -- Rihanna for River Island
7. Jean Crop Top -- Rihanna for River Island
9. The Ramones Tank -- $15
12. Nike Sky Hi Dunk (Wedge Sneaker) -- $120

Lastly I have these three crew-neck sweatshirts from a brand I just recently discovered, Revolution Richie. I could go on and on and on and on about these sweatshirts, I mean look at them. The quality of these are damn amazing. I wish I could fork up the $150+ to get just one of these. I have seriously never seen sweatshirts that live up to the quality I see in these images. I am seriously in love and I am starting a Richie Sweatshirt savings fund. So if anyone wants to make a donation so I could own one of these amazing sweatshirts from Revolution Richie, I'd forever love you!!

Rockin my Cupid Carries Shotguns Pin

Mac Kisses - Wearing Ruby Woo, one of my faves!

West Coast Thuggin, The West Coast of Africa that is... Liberian Girl!!

Faux leather jacket - New York & Co. | Denim shirt - Thrift'd
Mr. Rogers tee- Target | Velvet leggings - American Apparel
 Kelly Green Authentic Lo vans

Honestly if I had my way, I'd dress like this every single day. It's such a comfy outfit yet it still makes a statement. I have such a weakness for vans, they are my go to shoe after chucks. I just can't wrap my head around how this basic skate shoe just makes every outfit so much more. These green shoes are over a year old and the color still makes me smile. It's such a refreshing shade of green. I think all this cold weather has had a major affect on me because I was dying to show some skin. I think my legs have been dying to be shown off and with it being cold still, I could only flash a little ankle. These velvet leggings add just the right amount of texture to any outfit. I think velvet is my favorite Winter fabric which is surprising because I hated velvet as a child. I have this weird habit of always mixing and matching jackets, shirts or cardigans with a leather jacket. Not only does it add extra warmth, it just looks cool. I know everybody watched Mr. Roger's Neighborhood when they were young, I was quite obsessed with the show. So i loved this shirt when i saw it, I can't help but pick up iconic pop culture reference tees. It's starting to become a bad habit. Today I wanted to do a pin up doll look so I rolled up some faux Bettie Page banngs threw on a cheetah print head scarf and completed the look with red lips. I loved how it turned out.

I swear I used to be a music connisuer ... nowadays I feel like I'm the last to know about new music artists. I have seriously never heard of Iggy Azalea until like a week ago. I downloaded her mixtape "Trap Gold"  last week and barely listened to it. I was feeling a little thugged out today so I played it while taking pictures and I love it. The song "Demons" stood out to me ... I hope you enjoy it

Wild, Young & Free | OOTD

Is this life
Is this my time to waste
I got all this money calling me
How the fuck I'ma turn that down
-- Chris Brown, "Home"

Grey Cheetah Cross jumper- Thrift'd & Diy'd
Faux Laeather pants - Rue
Nude pumps - Shoe Carnival
Blue Beanie - Taken from my Brother

Today has been a beautiful day, the sun was shinning and everyone knows that always puts me in a crazy good mood. I have literally had this outfit in my mind for some months now. I can't even remember where I got it from now but it was probably tumblr-inspired. I woke up this morning and decided to make this sweatshirt. I've been putting it off long enough and since I had a few hours before class, I went at it. I have a current love affair with the color grey. Although black will always be my favorite color to put on, I have been gravitating towards grey items lately. If a shirt comes in black, grey and white, I'll choose grey hands down. It is slowly becoming my favorite neutral. I'm not done with this jumper yet but I seriously have no patience and wanted to wear it today. I see this being something I throw on a lot this spring, it's quite trendy so i can pair it with many outfits and it's warm for those windy spring days. I have always thought leather (or faux leather jeans) were so rock'n'roll and fit my persona but I knew I couldn't pull them off. I no longer am saying that. I am in love with these pants and I definitely loved dressing them up and making it more sophisticated. I honestly can't wait to throw these on with a band tee and some chucks soon though. I have a slight shoe obsession and have debated over getting a pair of cute classic nude pumps for the longest. I got these babies on sale and I love how they look dainty and chic. Which only fuels my dainty heel obsession. I blame Rihanna, I swear I do. All her heels lately have been so coy and lady like.

I know everyone has their opinion of Chris Brown but I honestly love Breezy. I have literally been listening to this song and watching this video constantly. It speaks to me on so many levels. My favorite line is :

I just wanna go back to the freedom
just take away the bullshit
and rewind the truth

This song just has vibe about it and i can totally relate to being able to go back home when life throws every curve ball it can at you and licking your wounds. When I saw the video, it was just so powerful and so symbolic. I'm diggin this new direction Cb is taking and  I am quite excited for his next album, anywho enjoy
