Have you ever had one of those days when getting dressed was the last thing you wanted to do?
Where it seems like getting out of your bed to deal with the world sounds terrifying?
Well today was one of those days for me! I just wanted to stay in my bed and sleep for 12 hours!
After hitting the snooze button at least 3 times, I crawled out of bed and into this outfit.


I don't know what genre of music Majid Jordan falls into but whatever it is I love it. After downloading their EP After Hours, I've fallen in love with their soothing tracks with silently powerful lyrics. This is the type of music you vibe to after a long day at work! This song is the very last track on the EP and it leaves you with a great lasting impression. Check these guys out!

Why Hello There!

This past weekend was Homecoming at my college so I was busy catching up with old friends and partaking in the usual activities. I definitely planned on snapping it up all weekend but plans change. I luckily got these pictures snapped before I went to our Step Show! All summer long I had been loving two-piece outfits and when I found this outfit, it was so far out of my comfort zone, being girly and what-not, but I tried it on anyways and fell in love. Being me, I had to toughen up this girly-fit with some sneaker (wedges) and a cool Mishka beanie, I got from my favorite Nashville store, Bullets and Mullets. 

If you couldn't tell from my last post, my hair has changed in color recently. I toned it to a dark grey ombre early this week and then sprinkled some teal in there a few days after that. I love experimenting with hair colors and I can definitely say that this is my favorite color combo of all time. 

It never fails that when I'm getting ready that I slip a little Bad Gal RiRi into my playlist and it just so happens that one of my favorite songs from her, Drunk on Love, played. I decided to see what kinda remixes I could find on Sound Cloud and I ran across this dup-step remix which totally got me pumped up before this event.

This quote by Ann Demeulemeester speaks volumes to me and could be called the inspiration for today's outfit. Ever since, I read this quote on Tumblr a few weeks back, I've been attempting to wear an all-black outfit that screams poetic. Today I happened to throw this baby together. I love mixing textures and prints to make a statement. I love how this is a monochromatic outfit but it's not just plain black pieces, each item speaks for itself.  In other news, I just got these new sunnies this morning and I am in actually love with them. Talk about a statement piece! They are a dupe of the House of Holland "On a Promise" sunnies that retail for about $250, no way was I paying that much for sunnies (since I am notorious for breaking or losing them) so I went on a hunt for sagood pair of dupes. Thank the Fashion Gods for this new invention called the Internet, I find so many dupes and goodies for such lovely prices on there. I got these off a Chinese wholesale site for about $6, what a steal?!! Tell me some of your favorite fashion steals in the comments below!!

I started listening to The Weeknd's new album last night while working on homework and the tittle of  today's #TOTD caught my eye. So it seemed the perfect fit for today's post as well
