You either like me or you don't.
It took me twenty-something years
to learn how to love myself,
I don't have time
to convince somebody else

Have you ever had a vision of how your day would go and then have your day go the complete opposite. Well say Hello to that day for me! I feel like I was pulled in 700 directions and none of them were the directions I planned on going. Luckily, I had amazing weather on my side or today may not have been so magical. Today was the first day of spring in my book -- the day were my shorts no long have to be chaperoned by tights, where wearing just a t-shirt and shorts isn't insane and where I can ride all day with my windows down. This is the weather I live for. So of course I didn't wanna overdue the day by getting all fancy, I took the simple approach. I could live in shorts, t-shirts and vans! I've gotten so many compliments on this Kelly Kapowski shirt today that it's unreal, it's funny to have conversations with random people about pop culture icons, especially since I had no idea how big of a deal Saved By The Bell was when I was actually watching it in the 90's.
I don't know how or when I stumbled upon Lana Del Rey's music but I'm thankful I did. Her voice is simply amazing. She has such ta thugged out hippie persona and I absolutely adore it. It took me awhile to adapt to her sound but after I did, I found myself always singing her songs. You can just tell that she views her music as art and its just so refreshing. I don't know what about today made me think of this song. I just felt wild and carefree like a girl should be on a warm spring day. So take a listen to "This is What Makes Us Girls" by Lana Del Rey ....
Til Later Loves
